The English Foundation Program (EFP) advances the English levels of students who need a half-point increase in their English language score to pursue a hospitality program. EFP provides both traditional English language education alongside the use of English in practical situations tailored to hospitality, ensuring added confidence in your language skills. Fulfilling this program enhances your studies and better prepares you to work in the hospitality industry moving forward.

Practice English for hospitality, including Service, Reception, Spa
IELTS stands for International English Language Test System and is recognized by more than 11,000 employers, universities, schools, and immigration bodies around the world. The IELTS is graded on a scale from 1-9.
The Derby English Language Test (DELT) is an online English test through the University of Derby and is also recognized as a metric for English ability and qualification to attend any school in Swiss Education Group.
During EFP, 2-3 weeks of Swiss Discovery is offered for students to relax and explore Switzerland at their own pace.
Availability and duration depends on the school of entry and the start date of each student.

The English Foundation Program and Immersion Foundation Program (IFP) are currently held at the Leysin campus of Swiss Hotel Management School.
We recommend you apply 3 months in advance before your desired start date. If you need a visa, please be sure to allow enough time between the application and the start of the intake as it can take up to 12 weeks to process.
