The institution’s location at the heart of the Watch Valley, Switzerland’s creativity and innovation hub and home to world-famous brands such as Patek Philippe, Omega, Rolex and Swatch, provides a perfect backdrop to students’ design thinking focused hospitality education.

The campus is situated in a former hotel in the heart of Neuchatel, a dynamic university city, and welcomes around 200 students from over 50 nationalities. Staff knows everyone’s name and strives to offer personal attention and guidance to each student, creating a close-knit and supportive community.

IHTTI School of Hotel Management has a dedicated design studio where students discover the principles of interior design in order to personalise and transform the look and feel of a space. They acquire technical skills by learning and applying design software including AutoCAD and Adobe Photoshop focusing on concepts of functionality, sustainability, space and flow and branding.

These companies generously offer their professional insights, host guest lectures and masterclasses and involve students in real-world design projects where they can directly apply their learnings.

IHTTI is the first academic institution outside of UK to be accredited by The Chartered Society of Designers, the internationally recognised body for the design profession.
