Swiss Education Group and Swiss Hotel Management School (SHMS) join forces with Club Med Switzerland, the leading provider of high-end, all-inclusive vacations. This partnership will benefit the hospitality professionals of tomorrow by opening up new opportunities for our students.
This partnership is a throwback to when the iconic Belvedere and Mont Blanc Palace hotels in Leysin, now home to Swiss Hotel Management School (SHMS), were home to Club Med's very first winter village in Switzerland from 1956 to 2002.
This new collaboration includes an extensive talent development program and offers our students internships and an accelerated career path within Club Med’s global resorts. Students, enrolled in the Master of International Business in Hotel, Resort, and Wellness Management program at SHMS, will benefit from Club Med Switzerland's insights into the management of upscale and dynamic resorts.
Our partnership with Club Med is very natural, given both organizations’ commitment to high-quality experiences and hospitality excellence.
"Our partnership with Club Med is very natural, given both organizations’ commitment to high-quality experiences and hospitality excellence,” said Yong Shen, CEO of Swiss Education Group, "We have a very diverse student body and Club Med is known for its international G.O community. This partnership will offer our students a lot of opportunities, both in the classroom and throughout their future careers."
In exchange, Club Med Switzerland will benefit from the students' creativity in developing dedicated projects initiated by SEG, aided by the school's teachers. The two entities are notably considering how to involve students in organizing events in Club Med villages, starting with the one in St. Moritz. This location could also serve as a place for exchange and reflection for students during their years of study. Finally, Club Med Switzerland will gain privileged access to the International Recruitment Forum, the biggest career event for recruiting young talent.
I believe in the capacity of students to surprise us with their creativity and their sense of reflection, and it is important to me that Club Med accompany them into the future of the industry.
"We are very pleased with this collaboration, which enhances the quality of our business by reinforcing the educational dimension, a notion that has always been central to our development," said Fabio Calo, Director of Club Med Switzerland, "I believe in the capacity of students to surprise us with their creativity and their sense of reflection, and it is important to me that Club Med accompany them into the future of the industry.”
