W Hotel Verbier on Campus - An Inspirational Presentation
Business Industry Training for first year students at SHMS is designed to expose them to the realities of the industry giving them tips that will help in their future search for a job and what better way to learn than from the industry itself!
Ben Couldridge, Director of Sales from the soon to be opened W Hotel in Verbier, was on campus in Caux to give students an insight into the recruitment process of W Hotels and to speak about the opportunities that exist within the group. A member of the Starwood group of hotels, the worlds fastest growing hotel chain, (1100 hotels worldwide today, 1500 by 2015) W have 55 hotels around the world which cater to a young, hip clientele who demand a unique experience.
Giving insider tips and examples from the latest casting days held for staff wishing to join the team in Verbier, Ben impressed upon students the qualities that make an ideal W team member. Reflecting the W brand mission, “to provide insider access to the world of wow,” Ben says, “we are searching for team members who can show they are creative, outgoing, and have great customer service skills.” Fantastic tips for students to remember when they are searching for their first internship placement.
