Playing host to the production team from Junior Chef’s Corner Hong Kong SAR, has made for a busy and exciting period at the schools of the Swiss Education Group.

Using the kitchens and facilities of the campuses in Le Bouveret and Caux, the team has been filming the grand final of the 3rd series of one of Hong Kong SAR’s most popular shows.

Reaching an audience of more than 200,000 a week in Hong Kong SAR alone, the programme is also seen in Canada, Thailand and Malaysia. A fantastic opportunity to showcase the exceptional facilities and locations of the schools of the Swiss Education Group. Chef Christian Yang, who has been mentoring the junior chef’s and is himself Swiss trained, describes the facilities as "impressive!" adding that it has been "the most impactful venue for a final."

With the backdrop of the stunning Swiss Riviera region, the three remaining finalists, who progressed from an initial group of more than 1000 hopeful applicants, cooked and served the dishes they had chosen. The contestants, aged between 11 and 13, were put under high pressure with one intensive hour of cooking to produce their most impressive work. Judged by a panel, which included CEO of the Swiss Education Group, Mr Florent Rondez, the two finalists were selected to compete in a final showdown. And the result?

Chef Christian Yang, revealed only that "the win was well deserved!"

Filming continues through early September for a new production built around the winner of the first series of Junior Chef’s Corner, Ryan Williams. Ryan will spend time in the classroom learning the skills of a Swiss trained hotelier. Housekeeping, fine-dining service and culinary are just some of the classes he will follow under the guidance of the staff at César Ritz Colleges and the Swiss Hotel Management School.
