The quick decisions, inevitable stress and unpredictable challenges provide an extremely powerful learning platform that helps SHMS students stand out when entering the competitive job market. Every year the hard work pays off producing glitzy and glamourous events fit for royalty…and speaking of… this year amongst our VIP guests, SHMS students hosted a princess who travelled in exclusively to dine in Caux palace!

4 different banquets welcomed guests from the food & beverage industry, local businesses, Bordeaux wine connoisseurs and charity partners:

  • Night Circus Banquet honouring local business leaders and SHMS Sponsors
  • Roaring 20’s Banquet honouring the Grand Vins De Bordeaux
  • Feeding the Knowledge Banquet honouring the Mercury Phoenix Trust
  • The Island Banquet Honouring the Montreux Jazz Festival Atypical Partners

After months of preparation and 4 intense weeks, there is a contented exhaustion in the halls of Caux Palace in the days following. We know the guests were happy… next the students find out their final grades!

"I want to thank you very warmly for your invitation to the gala dinner organized by SHMS students Saturday night. We were pleased not only with the excellent meal, music and the program, but also truly enjoyed a very pleasant event with great company at our table. We will cherish a wonderful memory from this evening." Thomas von Arx, Executive Director at UBS AG

"We wish to thank you again for this fantastic event we have had the chance to take part in with our wines. Please pass on our thanks and encouragement to the students involved with the organisation of the event. In one word, it was all perfect." Jean-Marc Dulong, Development Director at Crus et Domaines de France

"Everything was perfectly organized! My wife and I shared a wonderful moment with your staff and students. Thank you for the memories and we extend our sincere congratulations to the entire team." Julien Perrier, Consul Adjoint, France
